Regarding "Skies of Lebanon," was there a sense of psychological dread in the apartment? It sounds more like feel-good family unity as the world collapses around them, especially with the pithy statement at the end of the review.
I'm off to watch "Mizuko" & "The Sacred and the Profane!"
Jacob! Thanks for the thoughtful comments. Strangely, I don't think the movie ever did hit a point of dread. It seems that their resilience is more the point, although – without spoiling anything – the family does go through some trials as the war goes on... Let's just say Alice's manager isn't the only one who leaves the country. Excited to talk Nolan!
